POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

The Interactive Science Education Center (ISEEC) serves as a resource for the science faculty and students of the three Edgewood schools (college, high school, and grade school) and as an educational resource for the Madison community.

The ISEEC provides a dedicated area to display the work of students and faculty and others who contribute to the learning and research environment in the sciences. The area provides an environment which encourages interaction with science among faculty and students of the three schools and the wider Madison community.

ISEEC Selection Criteria for Exhibits and Displays
In keeping with the mission of the ISEEC, the following is a list of criteria that will be used for selecting exhibits and displays:

• Must illustrate some general principle(s) of science and/or technology at a level appropriate for a wider age group of people--from Kindergarten to adult and beyond!
   
• Be as interactive in nature as possible.
   
• Be clear in their purpose and aesthetically pleasing to view.
   
• No specific restriction on media--from a breathtaking picture to a model of the universe!
   
• Work done by students and faculty of all three institutions will be given preference.

ISEEC Posting Policy
All advertising materials to be posted must have the name of the campus organization or department clearly identified as the sponsoring group.

Posters and other similar materials may not be posted on any exterior surface of the buildings. Nothing shall be affixed to any walls, windows, doors, or doorframes. The only posting places are on public bulletin boards. Only one poster per board.

ALL MATERIALS TO BE POSTED MUST BE ENDORSED BY THE ISEEC COMMITTEE CHAIR.

Posted materials must be removed from all areas upon the expiration date by the sponsoring organization.
